AME, the Italian Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (Associazione Medici Endocrinologi) is a medical organization with a principal aim of highlighting and promoting clinical endocrinology in the National Italian Health Care System and transferring the acquirements of basic and clinical endocrinology in every day practice.
AME Goals:
Aggregate all physicians that operate in the field of clinical endocrinology in Italy and help share clinical experiences
Promote qualified and cost-effective patients’ care and high standards of medical practice by:
introducing the use of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), clinical guidelines and clinical audits in every day practice for problem solving
organizing educational meetings for endocrinologists with an interactive format
enhancing specific technical skills of clinical endocrinologists
Establish liaisons and cooperate with other Italian and foreign endocrine-related medical organizations.
